COVID-19 Protocols at the Pappy Hoel Campground

COVID-19 Warning
Despite what the media might have you believe, Americans are good at taking care of one another. Acting responsibly and respectfully towards your fellow campers and rally-goers is the American thing to do. So please, respect one another, help each other out, and let's behave in the most responsible way possible so that everyone can have a blast at the 83rd Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, our other Guests, and Staff. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Pappy Hoel Campground. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting Pappy Hoel Campground, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Before visiting Pappy Hoel Campground, we ask that you read and become familiar with the latest CDC guidelines. We also ask that you read and become familiar with the latest guidelines from the State of South Dakota.

Please practice good hygiene habits while on the property:

Attending Concerts at the Full Throttle Saloon

  • The outdoor concert courtyard at the Full Throttle Saloon will be marked with a painted grid of 6’ square spaces to help encourage social distancing.
  • Patrons are encouraged to park their motorcycles on the concert courtyard as a means of creating physical barriers, promoting social distancing.
  • Please heed safety-related announcements by emcee, security or artists.
  • Hand-sanitizer will be available at every entrance, bar and point-of-sale. USE IT!
  • Masks will be available at every bar. 
  • Restroom facilities inside the Full Throttle Saloon and other points of heavy use or contact will be regularly and thoroughly sanitized.
  • If you have or suspect you have a fever or are experiencing COVID-type symptoms, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER. Quarantine yourself and contact a doctor. If you think you are sick, please read the CDC's guidelines with step-by-step instructions.
